With its traditional village atmosphere and ethos of ‘selling things we produce on our farm or by farmers who go to Farmers Markets’, owner David Deme promises a shopping experience unlike anything else in central London.
ORGANIC APPLES AND PEARS
The family established the fruit farm at Chegworth in 1983 and over the next ten years planted over 30,000 apple and pear trees of differing varieties. Completely organic and certified by the Soil Association, the fruit is used in their range of fresh fruit juices, which comprises of a range of 100% pure apple juices attractively presented in glass bottles and sold both in the shop and at their other locations (Borough Market on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the Notting Hill Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings).
Alongside their range of juice the shelves are stocked with a wide selection of fresh vegetables grown on the family’s own farm or sourced where possible from organic producers, delicious smelling fresh bread and cakes , ice-creams from organic British farms and home-made condiments and jams.

Perhaps most exciting of all is the news that they now deliver fresh produce of your choice direct to your door, free of charge! The idea is this: you can either call in the shop or telephone with your delivery request, be it a selection of fruit and vegetables for a dinner party, or simply your weekly shop, and as long as the order comes to 14.95 or over, they aim to deliver it locally within the hour. What’s more, it arrives presented in a traditional style wooden crate, and with virtually everything in the shop eligible for this offer, you can stock up on delicious treats too!
They also accept regular orders, taking the hassle out of re-ordering each week, so you can have a box of fresh fruit and vegetables delivered hassle free each week, and if you call ahead they can alter the contents to suit that week’s needs, be it less potatoes or a double helping of their brownies.
